New York Funk and Wagnalls Company 1890 First Edition Hard Cover - Cloth Good No Jacket
Bright red cover w/ gilt lettering and black, stamped illustrations. Front in exellent condition. Spine and back are water spotted, but gilt letter on spine readable. 1890s gift inscription on ffep. Light foxing, no marks on interior -- no writing, underlining, etc. Cover is just beginning to come loose at top inside--about 1 inch. Otherwise binding is tight. A good copy of this hard to find volume.

Gilt decoration/lettering on cover and spine. Profusely illustrated throughout w/ line drawings by Opper, who illustrated for "Puck." Previous owners name on free endpaper. Stain from newspaper clipping on back free endpapers.
